Here ‘numbering our days’ just means being cognizant of the limited number of days we have. It truly is a limited resource. It’s easy to think that we have an almost endless amount of time, but it goes by faster than we think. The conscious awareness of our time here should make us more intentional about doing things that have lasting meaning. Instead of wasting time, we are investing it wisely.
Psalms 31:15: “My times [are] in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. Ultimately, our times are in God’s hand.” But in all the choices we make in how to disseminate and spend our time, we need to make it all available to Him.
